The Resort’s Tropika Restaurant specialises in authentic Cocos Malay cuisine, and has a great selection of fresh seafood, and for those who would like a range of Western cuisine, try the Tropika’s Trader’s cuisine, which reflects the history of European cuisine in the Cocos Keeling Islands with a unique Cocos Malay influence.
Breakfast ranges from the traditional full Western cooked breakfast, Continental breakfast or for the more adventurous, the traditional hot and spicy Cocos Malay Nasi Lemak.
Lunches and dinners typically feature a superb range of unique Cocos Malay cuisine and for those with a more traditional taste, there is a selection of Western style cuisine.
For those guests who would prefer a meal while exploring the exotic islands, the Tropika Restaurant can provide picnic baskets and BBQ packs (which include all food and all required utensils).
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, and also caters for a range of functions for residents and businesses in the Cocos Keeling Islands.
The Tropika can cater for larger functions either at the Tropika, the Pulu Lounge, or one of the many superb ocean side locations that may be found on Cocos.
Special dietary requirements are a speciality of the Tropika, and if staff are informed in advance these meals can be provided at any time during the day.
The Tropika Restaurant also provides full in flight catering services for aircraft transiting the Cocos Keeling Islands.
Alfresco Dining at the Pulu Lounge
The alfresco dining area, the Pulu Lounge, has superb ocean views and adjoins the Tropika Restaurant. The Pulu Lounge may also be used for larger functions and is absolutely superb during sunset and at night with its themed lighting.
